Calvary Faith Worship

We're excited to have you come and worship with us. It is our belief that the Bible is the greatest guide ever given to man. If followed, believers will be filled with joy and peace that passes all understanding. We firmly believe that Jesus Christ is still the answer for the world today. In our church services we follow the direction of the Holy Spirit and the Biblical order laid down for the church. We hope your questions will be answered concerning our forms of worship.

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant... Now there are diversites of gifts, but the same Spirit... For one is given the word of wisdom by the Spirit to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another the interpretation of tongues." 1Cor. 12:1, 4:8-10
"...I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy..." Joel 2:28
"Therefore brethren, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues." 1Cor. 14:39
Tithe is 10% of your total income and offering is anything given over and above your tithe. Tithing and offering are based on biblical principles that are taught throughout scripture. In, Malachi 3:6-11 we are taught that if we don't fulfill this teaching, we are guilty of robbing God.
"Woe to you Scribes and Pharisees, Hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law, justice and mercy and faith. These ye ought to have done, without leaving the others undone." Matthew 23:23
"Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your lap." Luke 6:38
"...Concerning collection he said to lay something aside for it on the first day of the week." 1Cor. 16:1-2
WHY WORSHIP AND
PRAISE SO VIBRANTLY?

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth; make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." Psalms 98:6
"Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, ye righteous and shout for joy all ye that are upright in heart."  Psalms 32:11
"And after these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven saying, Alleluia! Salvation and Glory and Honor and Power to the Lord our God!" Revelation 19:1

WHY GATHER FOR SERVICE?

The word "church" in the Greek is "ekklesia" literally meaning "those called out to gather, together with God." We believe that only in our gathering for worship is the church made real.
"For where two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
Matthew 18:20

WHY LIFT YOUR HANDS?

"Let us lift up our hands with our hearts unto God in the heavens." Lamentations 3:41
"Because Thy loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise Thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live; I will lift up my hands to Thy name." Psalms 63:3-4

WHY PRAY TOGETHER OUT LOUD?

"And when they heard that they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: "Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them..."  Acts 4:24
"Disciples came daily to join in prayer in the temple."   Acts 3:1, 6:4
At Pentecost, for ten days the church gathered and prayed until the Holy Ghost came and when it fell, it was manifested by audible praise and prayer. Acts 2:1-4
